In order to expand the scientific background, there is an appeal to the works of the researchers who had no direct links with Mykolayiv. However, in their work, the production orientation of the city is clarified and a certain source basis for Mykolayiv local lore researches is created. The focus is on the works where the production activity of certain shipyards became a priority.
